PTC training systems use a systematic, multimedia approach to teaching dental fundamentals and procedures. They are designed to help you attain high levels of skill, precision and productivity in a relatively short period of time.
TechMaster Technician Training Programs
Our TechMaster Technician Training programs include multimedia course materials using step-by-step technical training manuals and matching digital video demonstrations (DVD format). Excellent for both the training room and self guided study.
These live demonstrations include active illustrations, utilizing the same models and tools seen in the training manual. The combination of manual and video serve as a valuable reference for learning dental procedures.
The PTC technical training manuals include all the information contained in the TechBook in a format ideal for at the bench training. The manuals come in a custom binder that stands up so the book can be easily read at the bench.
Our TechMaster programs also include PTC’s custom training molds and all needed instruments and consumables, plus the Ness Teeth, a complete set of 20 large composite teeth showing all primary and secondary anatomical features.
Training and Verification System
Labs using the Training and Verification System, receive all TechMaster materials plus:
Video programs on DVD, featuring enhanced features including English subtitles and transcripts, an electronic course guide and a QC Review section for instant access to any procedure.
The PTC Training and Verification System drills, used to develop complete certainty in the application and understanding of all the concepts and procedures needed to produce quality restorations.
Training and Verification System Personalized Course Guides, which guide all student participants through each aspect of the learning process.
PTC Phase 1 training courses for owners, managers, QC, and key technicians. Each TVS Phase 1 course includes a 3-day management training seminar and 4-day hands on technical seminar, plus extensive hands-on training and complete verification and certification by PTC of the skills learned. PTC management and training courses are held at PTC’s headquarters in Morgan Hill, California.
A certification process whereby all participants are verified both technically and orally, and are then certified by PTC as to their understanding and technical application.
TVS Certificate of Achievement
Participants of a TVS course send their coursework and completed personalized course guide to PTC. Their coursework is evaluated, and once approved, they are ready for the final verbal drill examination. Upon successful completion of the verbal drills, students receive a certificate showing completion of the course.
Upon completing TVS Phase 1 training courses, owners, managers, dental instructors and trainers receive a mounted certificate in crown and bridge, porcelain or dentures.

The purpose of the PTC Skill Learning Systems is to establish a working technical policy in the laboratory which provides all the technical and management tools to:

Establish a quality baseline that can be used in all areas of the dental industry.
Identify and construct the anatomical features found in natural teeth.
Perform the procedures consistently.
Provide stable references so you can verify that you know the material and how to apply it.
